News Update for 3VA in Wealden District

3VA are pleased to announce that in March 2025 we were selected by East Sussex County Council to be the Community Development provider for Wealden.  We’re delighted that our team’s professional and effective approach to supporting communities and community groups in Wealden has been recognised. Winning this contract means that we can continue to work with you offering support, networks and information.

In communities across Wealden we work with you on actions including setting up a new group with the right structure and policies, identifying and applying for funding and much more. You can post on our website, receive news alerts, join networks and attend network meetings. We can also help you with volunteers.

We will continue to manage the Wealden Food Partnership which brings together over 100 organisations, businesses, and community groups to create a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient local food system. From addressing food poverty and reducing waste to promoting sustainable farming and food education, the Partnership collaborates on initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

We have received continued funding from the Wealden Community Grants programme and from

July 2025 we will deliver the Wealden Climate Change Network.  We will also deliver the Cost of Living Grants Programme, making grants to community groups delivering services to address the Cost of Living Crisis from September 2025.
