The Girls Network

The Girls' Network matches 14-19 year old girls with a mentor for a year, with the aim to develop skills and confidence, and to open up opportunities and experiences across sectors that the girls may otherwise not have access to. Our mission is to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a network of professional female role models. We are excited to bring our mentoring programme to Eastbourne for Spring 2024, and are seeking volunteer mentors in the local area. What we ask from our mentors: - To attend a mentor training session - To attend a speed-networking event where you will meet your mentee - To mentor your mentee for 10 x 1 hour sessions over the course of a year - To travel to meet your mentee and make the necessary preparations for your sessions (resources provided) What we provide you with: - Intensive training to become the best possible mentor - Skills for career development - Access to online support and resources - The opportunity to be part of a growing network of women across the UK
