Eastbourne Operatic and Dramatic Society

Delighting audiences for over 100 years. We’re a bunch of people who simply love bringing the very best drama and musical theatre to audiences in Eastbourne and beyond. We aim for the highest standards and people and the papers tell us we hit them: with performance venues that include two of the most beautiful and prestigious theatres on the South Coast, we really couldn’t settle for less. But for all that, we’re approachable, down to earth, welcoming to new faces of any background, any age who relish the idea of getting involved in the rich and rewarding experience that’s a theatrical production. We’re lucky enough to have our own centre which provides a social meeting point and facilities like a workshop, scenery store, wardrobe, green room and even our own studio performance space. Just walking through the door gives you the wonderful, unique atmosphere of real, live theatre.

The objectives of the society are to advance public education and appreciation of musical and dramatic art in particular by performing or assisting in the performance of musical productions and plays. To arrange, rehearse & perform theatrical productions at venues in and around Eastbourne including productions aimed and cast by young people.
