An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sussex Police Charitable Trust for a Trust Adviser to work within our small, dedicated and friendly team. The post is for 20 hours per week, ideally Mondays to Thursdays, although there is some flexibility with days. The role is based at Sussex Police Headquarters but there is flexibility to work from elsewhere, with at least one day per week in the office.
This is a great opportunity for anyone with an advice and guidance background who would like to work for a charity in a frontline role supporting the Sussex Police family at times of need, hardship and distress. NVQ Level 3 in advice and guidance is desirable, although support to achieve this qualification is likely to be available.
We are looking for interest from people who can bring their energy, empathy, and organisation and problem-solving skills to the role, and who meet with our values of ‘compassionate, fair, inclusive and professional’.
Sussex Police Charitable Trust is an independent charity providing confidential welfare support, guidance and signposting to its members (serving and retired officers and staff of Sussex Police) who are experiencing need, hardship or distress. The Trust also provides grants and interest-free loans, as well as recuperative breaks in the Trust’s property in Dorset. You will be employed by Sussex Police when working for the Trust.
The role will involve promoting the Trust to groups across East Sussex, West Sussex, and Brighton and Hove, and occasionally meeting members at their home or place of work. Therefore, it is essential that you have a full driving licence.
If you would like to find out more about the role, please email our Charity Manager, Karen Barford, on [email protected] or call 07855 000133.
Applications must be received by 24th February 2025.
If you are shortlisted for interview, your interview will be held week commencing 10th March 2025 at Sussex Police Headquarters, Church Lane, Lewes BN7 2DZ.
