The Refugee Buddy Project - build your local connections

Are you Ukrainian and living in Hastings, Wealden or Rother?

The Refugee Buddy Project can support you to build your local networks, integrate into your local community, get to know your area and practice and improve your English.

What we do:
• We can match you with a local Buddy to support you with settling into UK life and meeting and making new friends
• Match you with a Buddy to practice conversational English
• Guide you in employment preparation tailored to your aspirations and needs, including CV writing and interview skills
• Provide opportunities to volunteer and gain skills and experience such as Front of house, food safety certification and Barista skills at our friendly and welcoming Dove Café
• We organise social events, gatherings and arts-based projects that you can get involved in
• Interpreters available, language should not be a barrier
