Organisation Alzheimer's Research UK

Community Speakers for the UK's Leading Dementia Research Charity

At Alzheimer’s Research UK, an important part of our work is raising awareness of dementia, and the vital role that the charity plays in spearheading the search for a cure.

We’re seeking Community Speakers to help engage their local community with the work we do by finding local groups to approach, then delivering talks and information sessions about dementia and the power of research to find a cure. Your talks will also encourage others to take action, for example by donating, volunteering or taking part in research.

The role involves working closely with the Regional Fundraising Officer. It's helpful if you're IT literate and have the use of a car, but neither are essential. The role is home-based, and successful applicants can travel as far as they are comfortable.

You'll receive full training, materials and ongoing support in the role. Travel and reasonable expenses are reimbursed, and you'll join other community speakers in the region on regular catchup calls to share ideas, information and queries.

If you have any questions about this role, please contact the volunteering team by email: [email protected]
