Coastal Routes Recovery Coordinator
Part Time, 25 hours per week, (work pattern to be agreed)
The role is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance
Salary range £26,232 – £31,349 per annum, pro rata (upper level awarded for exceptional/highly experienced candidates)
Based Newhaven/Eastbourne with some hybrid working & with travel to outreach and delivery/donation locations in the local area.
Coastal Routes Recovery are the new Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO) for East Sussex.
A fully autonomous membership based organisation, CRR provide a voice into-action for people in recovery from drug & alcohol addiction. Anyone can join their community of recovery warriors with the benefit being that you can apply for funding for your own group activity, or even a service. Working in partnership with existing services, helping them build on existing provisions & based on the feedback they get from their members, CRR welcomes partnerships of all kinds and are looking to reach out further afield, setting up drop in hubs to find out what people really want from their recovery journey.
This post holder is employed by SCDA but will have a close working relationship with Coastal Routes Recovery Trustees.
With responsibility for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, helping them to set up relevant activities in line with CRR objectives, you will establish a small grants programme where individuals or groups can apply for a small grant to deliver an activity that supports people in recovery from drug and alcohol.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the recovery journey through lived or learned experience & knowledge of ways in which someone’s recovery journey can be supported. With significant previous experience of drug and alcohol support, partnership working and negotiation, you will be an organised & excellent administrator; as well as a confident and adaptable communicator.

The vacancy closes at 5pm on Tuesday 29th April 2025, with interviews conducted on Wednesday 7th May 2025 in Newhaven.
