Veolia’s Annual Sustainability Fund Accepting Applications

Veolia, the UK leader in resource management, is providing the Sustainability Fund for a fifth year.

Veolia is making £150,000 available in 2025 with grants (cash sponsorship) of up to £1,000, in-kind resources or staff volunteers available to support not-for-profit organisations, community groups, and individuals who are keen to transform their local community or environment. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, one project will receive a grant of £5,000.

Veolia has expanded the Fund this year to include social projects alongside environmental initiatives. Consideration will be given to projects that strengthen the local community, including but not limited to employment support programmes, rehabilitation projects, and youth development initiatives.

To be eligible, projects should address at least one of the following:

  • Enhancing biodiversity
  • Promoting sustainable waste behaviours (reduce, reuse and/or recycle)
  • Protecting or preserving resources and the environment
  • Its use of recycled, reused or reclaimed materials
  • Improving social wellbeing

The funder looks favourably on projects that have considered the long-term or ongoing benefits for the community and will consider all projects based on merit.

Projects need to be in areas where Veolia partners with the local authority to deliver waste and cleansing services for the community.

The deadline for applications is 30 September 2025.
