Climate Change and Household Finances in the UK funding programme is available
Who can apply
Applicants must contact the abrdn Financial Fairness Trust to discuss their application with a Grants Officer before applying to the Climate Change and Household Finances in the UK programme.
Organisations that are undertaking charitable activities can apply and the Trust welcomes applications from a wide range of organisations, including registered charities, voluntary organisations, think tanks, campaigning groups, research bodies and universities.
To be eligible organisations must have a governing body with at least three non-executive directors/trustees (at least three who are not employees of the organisation or affiliated to it in any other way).
Eligible Expenditure
The Trust’s grant programme is focussed on three areas that influence financial wellbeing. Within each area, there are specific issues that the Foundation aims to address and to be eligible for funding, projects should help to support at least one of these issues:
- Income
- Spending
- Assets
- Climate Change and Household Finances in the UK
As of January 2024, a Climate Change and Household Finances in the UK funding programme is also available. The programme is focused on improving the household finances of people on low-to-middle incomes in the UK during the transition to Net Zero and adjustment to climate change. The Trust’s general funding criteria apply to the programme, and projects must focus on net-zero and financial wellbeing within one of the existing programme areas: income, assets, and spending.
Value
There is no minimum or maximum size of grant, but typically grants range between£10,000 and £200,000
