Shaping the Future of Patient Facing Digital Services

Are you interested in helping us to design our personal health record in Sussex? Do you want a manage everything in one place with a consistent, feature-rich experience across all services? How do you want to control and be assured that your data is shared safely and appropriately?

We are inviting you to take part in a dedicated Patient Representative Stakeholder Workshop (online) to help co-design our new strategy for patient-facing digital services.

What are patient-facing digital services?

These are digital tools that people use directly to access, understand, and manage their health and care. Examples include:

• The NHS App – medical records, appointments, repeat prescriptions and test results
• Remote Monitoring tools – for managing health at home using thermometers, pulse oximeters, weighing scales and blood pressure monitors
• Personal Health Records – My Health & Care Record (PKB) which allow you to view your hospital and community appointments, blood results, x-ray results, care plans, complete questionnaires, and receive letters digitally
• GP online consultation services

Your insights will help shape a strategy that reflects what matters most to our population, communities and workforce across Sussex who will use these tools.

The session will focus on:

• Defining the Sussex Health & Care ambition for patient facing digital services
• Setting the right scope for patient-facing tools – considering what health and social care patient facing services should be included
• Exploring how digital can promote personalisation, access, and independence
• Developing the short and long term vision and priorities
