Important – Change to ESSCP charging and refreshments policy from 1st Sept 2025

From 1^st September 2025 all multi-agency training provided by the East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) will be FREE to attend for ALL organisations across East Sussex.

 The three pan Sussex Children’s Safeguarding Partnerships are adopting a joint charging policy to ensure equity and accessibility across Sussex for both statutory and non-statutory organisations.

Charges will remain for late cancellation or non-attendance on all courses regardless of course length/virtual or in-person, with a £50 flat fee for all partners, including those who contribute to the ESSCP. Please see attached ESSCP Training Charging Policy for full details. Those already booked on future ESSCP training will also receive notification of this change.

In addition to the charging policy change, the ESSCP will be coming in line with the East Sussex County Council policy of not providing refreshments at training courses free to attend, or at multi-agency partnership meetings. Whilst this is an undesirable change, we hope that multi-agency partners will understand this change is necessary to support the new charging policy and to ensure the use of partnership funds on priority activities in line with statutory requirements.
