Things to noteEvaluation of UKHSA surveillance outputs related to antimicrobial resistanceThe UKHSA’s antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and Healthcare-associated infection (HCAI) division, with the Evaluation and Epidemiological Science division are working on an assessment to improve UKHSA-provided surveillance outputs related to the AMR national action plan 2024-2029. These include surveillance statistics and monitoring data on various bacterial and fungal infections, antimicrobial use, pathogen resistance rates and antimicrobial stewardship. Your insights to their survey by 30 June will help assess the impact and improve the accessibility, content, and presentation of UKHSA’s AMR and HCAI surveillance data to better meet your needs. This matters, even if you do not use any AMR or HCAI surveillance data. Annual suicide statistics surveyThe ONS is exploring ways to improve its annual suicide statistics to ensure clarity for all users. Specifically, the team is seeking views on using the year of death registration, compared to the year of occurrence. Further context and three potential options are outlined in this short questionnaire on user requirements for official suicide statistics. The survey is open until Wednesday 18 June 2025. The StatsUserNet team at the ONS is pleased to announce that the new version of the online discussion forum is live. The forum has been reworked following extensive user research and engagement, and now has several new features including: - better profile creation to connect users with similar interests
- reorganising the site by groups, including a dedicated health and social care group, so users can focus on the areas that are important to them
- options for users to publish and, or share information in a variety of ways, from simple forum comments to content-rich blogs
