Free specialised support with online Family History and Genealogy research. You’ll receive one to one help from an experienced volunteer with a passion for genealogy.

We are working with Applause Tours to bring you “Peter, Sally and the Sea”, a story about the power of the sea to soothe worried minds, and a reminder that kindness can reap incredible rewards. Perfect for children and families.

We’ve got lots of free activities in the library this winter. Regular board game sessions, rhymetimes, storytellers, crafting and treasure hunts. We’ve got plenty at the library to keep you busy.

Comic and graphic novel workshop

You don’t have to be ‘good’ at drawing to make comics!

This February we have exciting workshops that encourage young people to explore their reading and creativity, inspired by cartoons, comics and graphic novels.

Join award winning Ramzee (2000AD and Marvel) and Jessica Kemp (Ninth Sentinel) and create your own sequential art!

Remember that copy of Mary Berry’s Baking Bible you borrowed last year? The one you’ve left by the front door because you absolutely will remember to take it back one day?

Take part in our book amnesty today! Simply return any overdue items between 12 February and 31 March 2024 and your fines will be waived.
