Towner Art Gallery

Towner is the award winning contemporary art gallery, showcasing artists of national and international significance and presenting works from our acclaimed collection. We place learning and a commitment to access at the very heart of everything we do, building on the original vision of the gallery’s philanthropic founder to create ‘an art gallery for the people’. Our mission is to build on our pioneering work of the last five years: developing, supporting and celebrating artistic practice by using our collection and curated work to provide accessible, enriching cultural experiences created in close partnership with our communities.

Free entry (except main summer exhibition) to our exhibition programme in the three main gallery spaces – changing thoughout the year, and to our new permanent gallery space housing our collection of work by Eric Ravilious.
