Our care homes are some of the most homely and friendly around. Our community is vibrant – a place that welcomes people with open arms like a big family. You can live independently in our housing with peace of mind that help is on hand if you need it.  Am I eligible? Our properties have certain eligibility requirements as follows:  Sheltered housing for rent You need to be 60 years old and over. You need to have equity and savings below a certain level. You do not own property that is suitable for your housing needs. You must have a local connection to the Local Authority area. You need to have lived in the area for three out of the past five years or have a family member (parent; adult children or brothers or sisters including corresponding step relationships) who has resided in the area for the past two continuous years.  Independent living - rented housing You need to be 55 years old or over. You need to have equity and savings below a certain level. You do not own property that is suitable for your housing needs. You must have a local connection to the Local Authority area. You need to have lived in the area for three out of the past five years or have a family member (parent; adult children or brothers or sisters including corresponding step relationships) who has resided in the area for the past two continuous years.  Here is our allocations policy: Allocations Policy v3 2021[pdf] 171KB Leasehold - homes to buy You need to be 55 years old or over. You will need to have an assessment to identify whether you’re able to live independently and afford the annual service charge and any additional maintenance charges. Any questions?
