Sussex Clubs for Young People

Established for over 70 years, Sussex Clubs for Young People are committed to developing a vibrant voluntary and community youth sector, which involves, empowers and meets the needs of young people in Sussex. We currently support over 130 youth clubs in Sussex. We respond to the challenges of delivering meaningful youth work and we constantly strive to provide fresh, fun and rewarding activities for the young people of Sussex. There is no annual membership fee, so even small or start-up clubs can access our benefits which allows us to reach as many groups as possible.
Training and development of youth club leaders, youth workers, young leaders and volunteers - Guidance around safeguarding young people - Policies for running a youth club - Activities and workshops programmes - Access to specialist insurance for youth clubs - Affiliation to national bodies, umbrella group representing youth clubs regionally - Summer camp and residentials - Networking for those delivering youth activities - Youth-led programmes (financial skills, achievement awards, volunteer accreditation, Duke of Cornwall Community Safety Awards etc.) - Development of youth voice within organisations - Employment of youth workers managed by SCYP - Detached youth work
