Motcombe Community Pool Community Interest Company (MCPCIC)

Motcombe Pool complex has been closed since March 2020. The main aim of Motcombe Community Pool CIC is the simultaneous building of social value and development, then realisation, of rejuvenation plans to secure a long-term economically advantageous future for the complex. Building of social value, community interest and engagement through: * The 'Listening Project' (Launched March 2023) to record the social history and impact of the pool through 3 generations of community swimmers. * Increasing positive public interest, support & engagement through appropriate outreach events and communications. * The development of an active community wellbeing and health hub within the curtilage of the Pool site. *The development of a business plan including exploring and identifying capacity for effective onsite green energy potential with a view to a near carbon-zero solution.
