Brighton Women's Centre

We’re Brighton Women’s Centre and we’ve been supporting self-identifying women in Sussex for over 45 years. We help women from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues, to live happier lives. Women dealing with bereavement or trauma, women who have been through homelessness or the criminal justice system, survivors of abuse or discrimination – we’ve welcomed them all.
BWC is an organisation for women with multiple complex needs. We aim to provide a holistic service for any woman who comes through BWC. We specialise in issues such as mental health, substance abuse, DV, SV, criminal justice, finance etc. We have a strong volunteer base, and we run a peer group drop in for women to come and seek advice with many volunteers. We also run personal development courses, a crèche, counselling services, benefits advice services. The inspire project provides support via caseworking for women at all stages of the criminal justice system.
