Volunteer Coordinator (Management)
Every year we help hundreds of people facing eviction and homelessness into secure housing.
We are looking for a volunteer up to 3 hours per week to coordinate our volunteers who undertake a range of roles, including: Administration, Ambassador, Events, Fundraiser and Research.

Why we need your help.
Every year we help hundreds of people facing eviction and homelessness into secure housing through the provision of loans to cover the cost of landlords’ deposits and advance rent.
We also provide grants to buy essential items for a new home, and for emergency accommodation.
We rely upon fundraising, donations, and grants to enable us to do this.
What time should you offer?
The time will depend on the administration required, but we anticipate up to 3 hours per week on average.
You will be able to choose the amount of commitment to suit your circumstances.
Where will you be based?
We envisage that this role will be mainly home based with the occasional need to attend our office at The House of Friendship, 208 High Street, Lewes, BN7 2NS.
What activities will you be involved in as part of this volunteer role?
This can be varied but will typically include things like:
• Acting as the first port of call for operational volunteer queries
• Undertaking periodic check ins with volunteers to discuss progress
• Coordinating HOMELINK’s volunteer programme
• Liaising with the Lead Trustee, Role Supporter and Volunteer Coordinator (Recruitment)
• Providing policy, procedure, and information to volunteers
• Reporting to the Management Committee on volunteer performance

What we are looking for
• Good management skills / experience and IT proficiency
• Enjoy meeting and talking to people.
• Enthusiasm
• Ability to follow our policies and procedures to keep you, our staff, our clients, and our events attendees safe.
• Ability to represent HOMELINK and our values positively.
Anything else you need to know.
• There is a short settling in period to see if the role is right for you.
• You must be 18 years old or over to do this role.
• This role will require the following pre-volunteering checks.

DBS Check - having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering with us. We assess each situation on an individual basis.
• Reasonable out of pocket expenses, agreed with Client Manager in advance, incurred whilst volunteering will be reimbursed.
