Organisation NSPCC

Role title: Arlington Bluebell Walk Kitchen Volunteer
Time commitment: Shift of 2-4 hours for the event on 14th May. Flexible to suit availability from 9am – 5pm.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for enthusiastic, approachable, and organised people to be a Arlington Bluebell Walk Kitchen Volunteer. Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn’t continue doing what we do without them. That means our Volunteers will play an important part in supporting the event to raise vital funds, so together we can ensure all children have the happy childhood they deserve.

What you’ll do
You’ll be working together with the event lead to run the community café at the Arlington Bluebell Walk and funds for the NSPCC.
You’ll be helping to engage with the public to take their order as well as prepare and serve food while promoting a positive image of the NSPCC in your local community.

What you’ll get
We’ll support you with guidance, advice, and tools to help you on the days to support the running of the café. There will be an NSPCC staff member on hand all day.
You’ll learn more about how you’re helping to protect children across the UK, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us.
It’s also a chance to spend time with like-minded people and make new friends.

Who’s right for the role?
While we think this role is suitable for a whole range of people, we are particularly looking for those with the following qualities and experience…
• Passionate about helping young people and children
• Enthusiastic and personable
• Strong interpersonal skills
• You work well within a team
• Great communication and social skills
Interested in getting involved? Volunteer today and join our fight for every childhood.
