Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) cards will expire on December 31st ’24; from January 1st ’25 you will be able to prove your immigration status online instead. Your immigration status will remain the same; you will not need to approach the UK Visas & Immigration department (UKVI) about this.

Follow the online guidance of UKVI as there will be updates on how to prove your immigration status when this changes.
