Free NHS Health Checks in Eastbourne

Are you aged 40-74? Book your FREE NHS Health Check with One You East Sussex in Eastbourne.

The NHS Health Checks are available to adults aged 40-74 who live in East Sussex (not including Brighton and Hove) who aren’t diagnosed with/on medication for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, heart disease or kidney disease, and who’ve not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years.

The checks take around 30 minutes and include:

– Blood pressure check
– Cholesterol check
– Sometimes a diabetes screening if you qualify
– Height and weight
– Lifestyle based questions on exercise, diet, alcohol etc
– Overall risk of developing cardiovascular disease over the next 10 years
– Free lifestyle advice on how to reduce your risk
– Signposting to other organisations for further support if requested

Results are instant and sent to your GP at the end of the appointment.
