East Sussex Money Guiders training programme promotion update
We are introducing a new training programme, supported by the East Sussex Multi-agency Financial Inclusion Programme Steering Group partners.
East Sussex County Council (ESCC) has signed up as a Money and Pension Service (MaPS) programme partner to enable you to access the ‘East Sussex Money Guiders training’ programme for free.
The training programme is open to all workers who act as a contact point for people seeking information about money and finances. This includes Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise organisations (VCSE), housing and supported housing providers, ESCC teams, District and Borough teams (Housing, Revenue and Benefits and customer services teams) and NHS teams (related to social prescribing.)
East Sussex money guiders training aims to build a worker’s confidence to convey the right information. It is designed for anyone who provides any type of non-regulated money guidance to an individual or groups. It will ensure that workers are able to signpost residents to the correct money information and guidance and clearly understand when specialist money advice may be required.
‘We are now offering comprehensive online learning resources for anyone delivering non-regulated money guidance. Explore rich-media content, interactive activities and up-to-date, high-quality learning content that provide you a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence in customer skills and money, guidance expertise, check your knowledge, and reflect on your strengths and areas for development’ Money and Pension Service (MaPS)
The programme will offer you access to e-learning courses, an assessment framework and access to Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) resources and community networks. The competency framework supports continued professional development and also offers opportunity to gain City and Guilds endorsed credentials.
