FREE training for Cost of Living Service Volunteers
A fantastic opportunity for all volunteers in Lewes District who work in warm spaces/welcome spaces, food banks and other ‘cost of living’ services.
Training is FREE and delivered by experts covering ‘safeguarding’, ‘personal well-being’ and ‘supporting service users’.
By attending our volunteer training, you will acquire invaluable skills and knowledge that will empower you to make a significant impact in the lives of others. Our comprehensive program is designed to enhance your confidence in initiating meaningful conversations and providing essential support to those in need. Through our interactive sessions, you will develop resilience to effectively navigate crisis situations and learn the necessary steps to address concerns that may arise.
By the end of the training, you will be equipped with a wealth of information to skilfully signpost service users, ensuring they receive the assistance they require.
Join us in creating a positive ripple effect in our community and beyond, as you emerge from this training better prepared and more confident in your ability to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Training will run from 10am – 1pm at Hillcrest Community Centre in Newhaven on Saturday 24th February.
Refreshments provided and travel* expenses reimbursed.
*Car mileage, parking and public transport travel expenses covered within Lewes District (Not Taxis)
