Climate Action! Festival 2024

Back to Nature
20-25 June

Join us from 20 – 25 June for Depot’s Climate Action! Festival. This year’s “Back to Nature” theme focuses on how we can reconnect with our environment from the ground up! The festival’s fun includes documentaries, films, talks, workshops, and activities providing insight into ways we can take action and re-find harmony with nature in our everyday lives.

Get stuck in and discover the importance of soil, fungi, faeces and the humble house plant! Learn about how nature rights are being integrated globally into legal systems through our specially curated short film programme. Get wild showcasing local wildflower initiatives and take a wildflower roof tour.

Depot are proud to be screening as part of the UK Green Film Festival and satellite events are underway at Lewes Climate Hub as part of their “Taking Steps for Wildlife” season.

The Climate Action! Festival is our annual spotlight on global and local efforts to address our climate and nature crisis. This year’s programme has been cultivated by Sustainability Manager Natasha Padbury and restaurant staff Dora Batov and Mirabelle Seymour.

Natasha says of the festival:

‘Never has the nature crisis been so stark and urgent. It’s encouraging to see such a groundswell of inspiring films and local initiatives which all point to nature based solutions as being critical for all living beings on the planet to live and thrive. There’s something for everyone so we hope you can join us for this year’s exciting festival programme’

The full festival programme can be found on the Lewes Depot website: lewesdepot.org/climateactionfestival

We are part of nature, so let’s act like it!
