Organisation The WayfinderWoman Trust

Do you have 4 hours to spare each month?
Do you think women deserve a better chance in life?
Do you want to help them do that?

Then why not join us?

The WayfinderWoman Trust is an award winning charity based in Eastbourne, run by women for women. We are dedicated to helping woman and girls of working age to overcome social exclusion and build confidence so they can transform their lives.

Thanks to a major National Lottery grant we’re in an exciting new phase in our development. Two of our existing Trustees are stepping down as their terms come to an end. We have an ambitious 5-year business plan and looking for Trustees to help us take this forward.

We are especially looking for women who have an interest or experience in the following areas:

• Legal issues that would arise for our beneficiaries or trustees
• Administration, with a willingness to undertake the role of secretary

We are particularly keen to hear from women from diverse ethnic backgrounds and if you’ve had to fight your own battles, or helped others fight theirs then we’d love to hear from you too.

We meet every 6-8 weeks in Eastbourne in the evening for about 1.5 hours. Trustees are responsible for setting the strategy and policies for the charity, and monitoring progress against our aims. Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term and the commitment is about 4 hours a month. There will be an induction, with additional training and support provisionally available through a Charity Mentoring scheme.

If you think you’ve got the skills, experience, passion needed for this role then get in touch to find out more by emailing our founder and Chair, Laura Murphy via
