Organisation Jan Papworth

ETC Sussex is a small but dynamic Hastings based charity with a £600,000 plus annual turnover and is the main provider of Dementia Day Services in Hastings and Rother, plus a range of other services.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, ETC Sussex is looking for a new Chief Executive. The successful candidate will become the Chief Executive of ECR Foundation, to be formed, following the merger with two other local charities and will work with the Trustees to complete the merger. Due to the close relationships between the charities and with a joint Trustee Working Group, integration is well prepared for.

Following consolidation, the CEO and Trustees will need to determine the strategic direction of the new organisation to enable it to best meet the needs of the community in what are challenging times. This will need to involve stakeholders, clients, staff and volunteers.

ETC Sussex runs Digital Inclusion and ESOL projects, a Food Pantry as well as Dementia Day Services in Hastings and Rye. On merger, grant making, asset and property management will be incorporated into the provision.

The successful applicant will have a successful track record of management within an organisation and be able to evidence the ability to lead and develop a small but expanding charity.
