If you are born before 25 September 1957 you may be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment to help your heating costs this winter; this is a UK state benefit.

We would like to encourage all Ukrainian pensioners in East Sussex to apply for this to help your costs this winter.

If you’ve received this before, you should get your Winter Fuel Payment automatically this year. If you claim State Pension or another social security benefit (not including Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, Child Benefit, Universal Credit or a deferred State Pension), you should also be paid automatically.

Please be aware that all living in your household and the benefits you receive already will be taken in account when you apply.

Call the Winter Fuel Payment helpline on 0800 731 0160 to get started. You’ll need your National Insurance number and bank details to apply for this benefit.
