What does food insecurity look like in Wealden and what needs to be addressed locally in order to create food resilience?
Development of a new Wealden Food Partnership is well underway since 3VA employed a Food Partnership Development Officer in February 2021, using funding from East Sussex Public Health.
The aim of the work is to establish a fully functioning and sustainable food partnership and/or networks, which will focus on all elements of food security, including food poverty, food waste and local/ community food production and distribution.
People involved in food networks and partnerships come from all walks of life; e.g. individuals and organisations who are involved in food related and/or environmental activities, food producers and sellers, public sector staff and academics.
If you’re passionate about alleviating hunger, increasing the provision of nutritious food, reducing food waste, growing food, supporting local food suppliers and building food skills and awareness, please join us on Zoom Thursday 24 June 2021 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.
Please book to be sent the Zoom link for the meeting.
