Safeguarding Adults

This 3-hour online workshop is aimed at staff and volunteers who work with adults with care and support needs, and who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice.

By the end of this course it is anticipated you will be able to:

  • Identify different types of abuse and neglect
  • Know how to recognise signs of abuse
  • Describe risk factors
  • Understand roles and responsibilities when raising a safeguarding concern
  • Be aware of the National and Local context of safeguarding

Target Audience:

Staff and volunteers in voluntary and community groups who work with adults at risk of abuse and neglect. Please note that priority will be given to the groups working across 3VA areas (Eastbourne, Lewes District and Wealden). The numbers are strictly limited to 12 people per course, a maximum of 3 representatives from each organization will have a confirmed place and further registrations will be put on a waiting list.
