Understanding Safeguarding Children in a Digital Age – Pan Sussex Half Day Conference
Wednesday 25th June
The East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) has teamed up with WSSCP and BHSCP to bring you an exciting online event, aimed at enhancing your knowledge around online harm and how to safeguard children in a digital age. This event is free to attend and available to all practitioners (including volunteers and foster carers) who work with children and young people across Sussex.
The morning will include 4 mini webinars each exploring different elements of safeguarding children in a digital age.
- Session 1: Introduction to children accessing the internet
- Session 2: Online sexual harms: identification, impact and interventions
- Session 3: Exploitation
- Session 4: Child Sexual Abuse and AI
Practitioners can choose to attend one, two or more sessions. Each session will be delivered by a subject specialist and there will be a short comfort break between sessions for those attending several sessions. Attendees will also receive an electronic resource pack after the event, to support your work with children and young people around this often-challenging topic.
