New independent advocacy provider from 1 April

ESCC has commissioned a new independent advocacy provider for people currently accessing social care and mental health services, starting from 1 April 2025. We would like to ask for your support in making VCSE colleagues who refer to the advocacy service aware of this change. Included below is copy for internal channels to VCSE staff and volunteers, I wondered if you might be able to help share this through your membership newsletters?

The Council’s website and our other public signposting to these advocacy services will be updated from 1 April (e.g. this page).  We will be looking at proactive wider public comms at a later date once the new contract is underway, so this message is just aimed at those who refer other people to advocacy services for now.
