Have your say on our Local Transport Plan 4 (2024-2050)
Local Transport Plans (LTP) are statutory documents. They establish and communicate the transport priorities for the County, including objectives, policies, and plans for transport improvements. The Local Transport Plan also includes an Implementation Plan (how the Local Transport Plan will be delivered).
Why are we reviewing our Local Transport Plan?
National, regional and local policies have changed regarding the environment, health and the economy since we developed our third LTP. To ensure that we and our partners have a plan that considers peoples transport needs and opportunities now, and in the future, this plan has been updated.
The fourth East Sussex Local Transport Plan (LTP4) will replace the third LTP and will be a long term plan from 2024 – 2050, which we and our partners will update regularly
LTP4 will set out how we plan to improve transport, deliver better access to jobs and services, and create safer, healthier, more sustainable and inclusive places. The new Local Transport Plan will emphasise:
- Inclusive engagement and decision-making
- Balancing the needs of rural and urban residents
- Net zero carbon
- Health and wellbeing and social inclusion
- Opportunities for sustainable economic growth
