Budget and priorities for East Sussex – Have Your Say

This week we have launched a public survey for anyone who lives, works or visits East Sussex to ask if they agree with our priorities for services and spending in the county.

We hope this discussion will help our members shape decisions for the council plan and budget for 2024/25 between now and February.

Although all local authorities are under severe financial pressure, a report to the meeting of cabinet on 7 November explains that there are options for ESCC to avoid reducing services over the year ahead, partly because of our careful financial management over the last decade.

Please do take the survey and feel free to share it with any of your clients, friends or family. While we’re asking people to do the survey online wherever possible, other options will be made available where they’re needed. We’ll have paper copies in libraries within a few days, and people who go into the consultation will find an email address to use to request alternative formats if they really can’t use the online survey.
