A22 Active Travel Measures consultation information

We want to make you aware that East Sussex County Council has just launched a public consultation for a package of complimentary Active Travel Measures as part of an A22 Major Road Network package of improvements in the Hailsham, Polegate and Stone cross area. The consultation launched on 4 November and will be running until Sunday 8th December 2024.

The Active Travel Measures comprise:

• Hempstead Lane Traffic Management and cycling improvements
• Hailsham Core Walking Zone
• Cuckoo Trail access improvements in Hailsham
• Cycling scheme – Polegate to Stone Cross
• Cycling scheme – Dittons Road – Willingdon Drove (National Cycle Network 2)

We will also be holding four in person drop-in consultation events in the Hailsham, Polegate and Stone Cross areas, which you would be very welcome to attend, and which will take place on the following dates:
